See text. Representative genera include Sinuites, Euphemetites, Warthia, Tetranota, Bucanopsis, Tremanotus, Bellerophon, Knightites, and many others. Unlike normal gastropods, the shells of Bellerophonts are characterised by a completely planispiral pattern of coiling, such as one finds in shelled cephalopods.
